Flowers Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2021

Yellow gold with a mealy nuance and a hint of woodsmoke to the moderately restrained bouquet then creamy and nutty to the taste with touches of tropical fruit, stonefruit and melon, and mealy notes filling out the lingering finish that's lifted by bright acidity that's a beautiful foil to toasty oak accents. Much more restrained and elegant than many California Chardonnays we have tried in the past perhaps because it is from what Flowers states on the back label as an ‘extreme maritime climate’.
