The colour is a deep rich ruby. The bouquet offers up chocolate biscuits, vanilla, cedar and berry jam and it tastes spicy and peppery with fine chocolate dust tannins, plummy fruit and a juicy finish with a touch of eucalypt/mint and a pleasing firmness to the lingering aftertaste. Kingsley describes it as smooth, easy and not too complex for everyday drinking.
