Muriel Rioja Crianza 2019

This deep dark red-hued wine has a wonderfully fragrant bouquet like blackberry jam infused with cedar and mint and the flavours are crammed with plums, cherries, spice and liquorice with sappy vanillin oak and perhaps a hint of tobacco. It’s bright in the mouth with silky tannins, a meaty richness and an underlying tarry savouriness and the lingering finish is long, juicy and flavoursome.
