Giesen The Brothers Pinot Noir 2021

This wine has at first a classic earthy scent then a pretty floral rose petal / feijoa flower perfume wafts through. The taste is bright red fruit with Christmas cherries and rosehips over a savoury gamey backbone with a touch of gunsmoke, a touch of smoky bacon and slight grip to the silky tannins. An approachable, drinkable and very pretty wine with understated substance.
