This concentrated inky purple-red hued wine is powerful and creamy. The spicy bouquet is fragrant and inviting and the taste is rich and powerful with firm tannins that still need time to resolve. It's quite sappy and herbaceous – as to be expected for the variety – with plums, violets, cake spices, leather. Worth cellaring. Absolutely. A bargain for the quality.
