Inky purple red, saturated to the edges. While a little shy on the nose the taste is soft, juicy and approachable and to echo Kingsley, ‘you don’t have to look for the flavours’. The chocolate-coated cherry, blackberry and mulberry fruit jump off a springboard of creamy oak and supple tannins, and the finish has a spicy savouriness that brings the wine nicely into balance.
